Located at the heart of the Langtang Himalayan range, Yala Peak (5,550m) is one of the most popular and easy climbing peaks in Nepal. It is perfect for beginner climber with some trekking experience and good health condition. Yala peak is also renown as the impressive viewpoint of numerous central Himalayas such as Langtang Lirung (7,246m), Shispangma (8,027m), Dorjee Lakpa (6,990m), Gangchempo (6,388m) and many more.

Our 14-days trip begins from the capital city of Kathmandu and extends to the beautiful villages and landscapes of Langtang National park. Langtang village, Kyanjing Gompa, Yala peak and Gosainkunda lake are some of the very appreciated places that would give you unique vibes of living with nature. If you are fond of Buddhist and Hindu cultural lifestyle, it could be a very good learning journey for you.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1,350m)

One of our team members revives you and drop you to your hotel. There will be a brief trip discussion meeting followed by a welcome dinner at a typical Nepali restaurant. (Meal: Dinner)

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m): 7 hours’ drive

We’ll take a private jeep/bus to drive to Syabrubensi: a mountain village from where most Langtang trekking starts. You will have the amazing experience of riding through the zigzag highway and amazing views of the Himalayan range. (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)

Day 03: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,380m): 6 hours’ trek

On this first trekking day, we’ll make our journey up to Lama hotel by hiking through riversides, dense alpine forests, suspension bridges, and interestingly structured landscapes. Enjoy the pleasing hike and overnight in Lama hotel. (Meal: Breakfast Lunch and Dinner)

Day 04: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3,430m): 5-6 hours trek

From Lama hotel, the trail goes steep uphill through the lush jungle. This area is the natural home of various Himalayan wildfires including Red Panda. Ahead of Goda Tabela (Horse Stable), Buddhist religious monuments such as Mani wallas, shortens and prayers wheels can be seen often. We’ll reach to gorgeous Langtang village to stay overnight today. (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)

Day 05: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m): 3 hours' trek

This is a short trekking day, yet another sweetest part of our journey. The insanely beautiful landscapes, magnificent mountain views, and an easy hike would make you feel so special. Kyanjin Gompa is the gateway to most of the peak climbing in the Langtang region. Overnight in a local tea house. (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)

Day 06: Acclimatization day

At high altitudes, some people might feel AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). So, an acclimatization day is needed here before we go up. Enjoy the refreshing smell of original nature along with hot tea. As an option, you can hike to Tserko-Ri (4,980m – 3 hours hike). Overnight Kyanjin Gompa. (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner)

Day 07: Kyanjin Gompa to Yala Base Camp (4600m): 5-6 hours’ trek

Ahead of here, the planet mountain would begin. Walking carefully through the rocky glacier and icy trails, we’d reach to Yala peak base camp. This place would give you an amazing view of Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, and Yala Peak. Here, your mountain guide will teach you the climbing tricks and use of gears like ropes, ice pick, harness, crampons, and others. Overnight stay in a tented camp. (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)

Day 08: Yala Peak (5,500m) summit and return to Kyanjin Gompa: 8-9 hours’ trek

We’ll start early in the morning and climb slow and steady. After submitting the peak, the view of the sea of mountains around you would be just amazing. Cherish the closest view of Shishapangama, Dorje Lakpa, Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, Langtang Lirung and many others. Enjoy some precious time on the top and hike back to Kyanjin Gompa for overnight stay. (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)

Day 09: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama hotel: 6-7 hours’ trek

Today, we’ll repeat the trail back to Lama Hotel. It will be quite a long yet easy downhill walk. Overnight in a local teahouse of Lama hotel. (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)

Day 10: Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru: 5 hours’ trek

From today, we’ll divert our journey towards the Gosainkunda lake route. Trek along the river valley and lush forest before reaching to Bamboo lodge for lunch. Further, we’ll join a set of the uphill trail and eventually reach to typical Sherpa village of Thulo Syabru for overnight stay. (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)

Day 11: Trek from Thulo Syabru to Gosainkunda: 7-8 hours’ trek

Today, we’ll get to see an amazing glimpse of Annapurna Himalayan range including Himchuli, Manaslu, Ganesh and the Langtang family. Enjoy the pleasing walk through the dancing trail and eventually reach to the place of holy lakes, Gosainkunda. This area has 9 culturally significant holy lakes and a temple, which are a pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Roam around beautiful worshipped lakes and surrounding villages. Overnight Gosaikunda. (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)

Day 12: Trek from Gosaikunda Lake to Chandan Bari: 6 hours’ trek

Wake up early for the dazzling sunrise view over the mountains. After breakfast, we’ll proceed trekking towards Chandan Bari village. It is a gradual downhill trail through forests, scattered villages, and farmlands. Make it slow, enjoy the freshness of nature and arrive Chandan Bari for overnight stay. (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)

Day 13: Trek from Chandan Bari to Dhunche and drive to Kathmandu: 4 hours’ trek, 5 hours’ drive

This is your last day of hiking in Nepalese Himalaya. The walking portion until reaching to Dhunche will be an easy downhill trek. From Dhunche, we will do a jeep ride to come back to Kathmandu for an overnight stay. (Meal: Breakfast and Lunch)

Days 14: Final departure
