This trip has the fine combination of eco-cultural sightseeing tour and an easy hike around the foothills of Annapurna mountains. Australian Camp is one of the famous trekking destinations for easy and short hike lovers. It can be each in 2-days trek northward form the lake city of Pokhara.

Our 9-days Australian Camp trekking trip begins by exploring the cultural affluences of medieval town of Kathmandu. The Kathmandu valley has 7 UNESCO world heritages sites. Out next stop would be Pokhara, the gateway city to Annapurna region. We’ll explore the mysterious caves, lakes, gorges, temples and monasteries of Pokhara city before we begin hike towards Australian camp. Join us and let’s celebrate some good time together.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

One of our team members welcomes you at Kathmandu airport and drops you to the hotel. At the evening, we’ll organize a welcome dinner at a typical Nepali restaurant where you can enjoy authentic Nepali taste. (Meal: Breakfast)

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing tour 

Kathmandu is enriched with historical and cultural monuments. One of our experienced city guides will take you to some of Buddhist and Hindu religious sites such as Swyambhunath stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple and Boudhnath stupa. After the tour, we will be discussing upcoming trekking fun. (Meal: Breakfast)

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara: 7 hours’ drive or 30 minutes’ flight

On a comfortable tourist bus, we’ll drive to Pokhara. It will be a scenic journey through beautiful foothills, rapid rivers, rustic villages, and farmlands. As an alternative, we can take 30-minute short flight to Pokhara. (Meal: Breakfast)

Day 04: Pokhara sightseeing tour

Today, you’ll visit some of the cultural, historical and natural destinations within the city. Our professional city guide will take you to Bindabasini temple, International mountain museum, Devi’s fall, Gupteswor cave, Phewa Lake and to Sarangkot for beautiful sunset view. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 05:  Drive to Hemja, trek to Astam (1,468m): 30 minutes’ drive, 4 hours’ trek

After morning breakfast, our crew will be ready for the trekking trip. Form the hotel, we’ll drive to Hemja (Approx. 30 minutes). The trek begins with the gradual uphill trail via small villages and forests. It is an easy 3 to 4 hours of the walk until reaching Astam village. Explore this organic village and stay overnight in a local tea house. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)

Day 06: Trek to Australian Camp (2,000m): 5 hours’ trek

We’ll wake up early to see the sunrise over the mountain peaks. Enjoy your breakfast and be ready for another portion of the adventure. The trail goes ups and downs until reaching to Dhampus village for lunch break. Dhampus is a big tourist village, famous for its cultural life and mountain views. Further, we’ll hike about 2 hours uphill and reach to Australian Camp for overnight stay. Enjoy the charming view of snowcapped peaks such as Annapurna, Fishtail, etc. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)

Day 07: Trek to Kande, drive to Pokhara: 2 hours’ trek, 1-hour drive

Mostly downhill, the trail goes through farmlands, forest, and scattered villages. Kande is a small settlement at the highway, from where we’ll drive back to Pokhara. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 08: Drive to Kathmandu: 6-7 hours’ drive

We’ll take a tourist bus to come back to Kathmandu. Enjoy the unique essence of countryside Nepal. Upon arriving in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel and celebrate the rest of the day in your own style. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 09: Final Departure           

This is the goodbye day. We hope you have enjoyed this amazing trip. At about 3 hours prior to your departure flight, we’ll drop you to the airport. (Meal: Breakfast).
